All of our employees are thoroughly trained in behavior management techniques, CPR/First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Prevention and Intervention, medication administration, Adult Foster Care Rules, Vulnerable Adult Act and other various subjects that pertain to the job duties.
Staff are given a minimum of 20 hours of training annually. We strive for excellence with all of our employees and stress the importance of keeping a positive attitude while interacting with clients, other staff, case managers, and family members. All staff members are encouraged to attend various trainings offered through the community, at the expense of Expanding Horizons.
Above all else, we realize that our staff have chosen to work in this field because they enjoy the challenges and satisfaction working in the human service field provides. To build on this, we encourage staff development and promote excellence in achievements.
